The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited,has advised against panic buying of fuel assuring that it currently holds a 30-day reserve of over 1.5 billion litres of PMS.
It's Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, said NNPCL continues to urge drivers to avoid panic purchasing of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, as the supply and distribution across the country improve.
Reports from various states, including Lagos and the FCT, show that queues at filling stations have reduced, and this trend is expected to continue in other states.
NNPCL emphasizes that it currently has a stock of over 1.5 billion litres of PMS, ensuring over 30 days of supply. NNPC Ltd. is working in partnership with relevant downstream agencies, such as the Nigeran Midstream & Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), labor unions in the sector, and security forces to address hoarding and other unethical practices.
