ABUJA, Nigeria - The Nationwide League One (NLO) has officially approved the move of Black Scorpions FC from Ogbomoso to Abuja, following the club's fulfillment of all required criteria.

The club’s proprietor, Chief Sunday Dare, underscored the organization’s dedication to offering a platform for Nigerian youth to flourish and stay actively engaged.

The former Minister of Youth and Sports Development expressed the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent, building discipline, and promoting excellence in football.

“With a firm focus on grassroots development, Black Scorpions FC seeks to create opportunities for aspiring footballers to realize their full potential while contributing to the advancement of Nigerian football,” Dare stated.

An official announcement from the NLO Secretariat, penned by Chief Operating Officer Olushola Ogunnowo, confirmed the approval of the club’s relocation and compliance with all necessary requirements: “The Nationwide League One Secretariat extends its compliments to you and your club management. After carrying out due diligence to verify the club's non-indebtedness to its prior affiliated state, we hereby approve your request to move from Oyo State to the Federal Capital Territory,” Ogunnowo remarked.

According to report, Black Scorpions FC is poised to embark on a new journey in Abuja with this approval, furthering its mission of developing young footballers and promoting a professional sports culture.

The club's move to the nation's capital is anticipated to boost its visibility, attract more opportunities for its players, and enhance its influence on Nigerian football.
