The All Progressives Congress is confident that President Bola Tinubu will win re-election in 2027 despite the tough economic conditions and potential alliances formed by major opposition parties.
The ongoing economic challenges caused by reforms like the removal of fuel subsidies and the fluctuation of the naira have raised concerns that Nigerians may not vote for Tinubu in 2027.
However, the Deputy National Organising Secretary of the ruling party, Nze Chidi Duru, stated in an interview that these reforms were necessary to stabilize the economy.
He emphasized that President Tinubu is aware of the people's expectations and the need for improvement in their living conditions.
Duru expressed confidence in the party's ability to be represented by a candidate in 2027, as long as President Tinubu chooses to contest.
