The Interim Management Committee (IMC) unveiled the new name and logo for the Nigerian top division on Friday.
The top-level shall henceforth be known as the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).
The Nigeria Premier Football League became the IMC's official designation at the start of the current season.
The Nigeria Professional Football League was no longer used as the name for the league.
The IMC unveiled a new NPL logo at the NPL Super Six playoffs draw conducted in Lagos.
The Super Six playoffs will occur from Sunday, June 4, to Sunday, June 11.
Every game will be played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.
