Nigerian Celebrities have been offering comforting words to Super Eagles' goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali following their team's failure in the AFCON 2023 final in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Despite Nwabali's outstanding effort and performance, the Super Eagles lost 2-1 to the Ivory Coast.
Nwabali apologized to Nigerians on his Instagram page, expressing his grief and disgust while acknowledging his understanding of their emotions as a former and current fan.
He accepted full responsibility, thanked Nigerians for their support, and declared his love for them.
He said, “A disappointing and frustrating end. I deeply apologize to Nigerians. I was once a fan, still a fan and I understand how it feels giving you a disappointing night. We take full responsibility. Thanks for the whole support till the end. I love you all “
