The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Lagos on Wednesday welcomed 102 stranded Nigerians who had been evacuated from Libya.
According to a statement the agency made available to newsmen, Mr. Mustapha Ahmed, Director-General of NEMA, formally greeted the returnees on behalf of the Federal Government.
According to the statement, 102 returns included 96 females, 2 males, and 4 infants.
It further stated that a Boeing 737-800 operated by Al Buraq Air with the registration number 5A-DMG brought the returnees to Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos late on Tuesday night.
According to the DG, who was cited, the Federal Government was dedicated to making sure that Nigerian people were safeguarded no matter where they were.
