Ukrainian model Sawa Pontyjska is suing the organizers of the Cannes Film Festival, claiming she was assaulted on the red carpet.
Sawa Pontyjska is suing the festival for bodily assault, psychological harm, and reputational damage, asking for 100,000 euros (£85,000) in damages.
She claims she was subjected to "rudeness" and "unreasonable use of physical force" during the Marcello Mio debut.
It is the same occurrence about which singer Kelly Rowland spoke out after being seen arguing with the same female security guard on the theatre's steps.
Pontyjska told Sky News that the security officer "lost her temper" with her, "pushed" her, and "grabbed" her after she urged her "not to be rude".
She claims she was grabbed in "a bear hug" before being pushed again and "thrown out" out the rear exit.
Pontyjska claims she was told, "For you today, the Cannes Film Festival is over".
Pontyjska claims she has contacted the event for an apology but has received no answer.
