Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson recently posted a powerful statement on Instagram, just days after her husband, Prince Odianosen Okojie, escaped an assassination attempt.
The tweet resonated with fans, prompting an outpouring of solidarity.
Mercy Johnson's statements in the post reflected her unwavering faith in God in the face of adversity.

Mercy Johnson looks to be making her first post after her husband, Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie, a federal lawmaker representing Esan North-East/Esan South-East in Edo State, narrowly avoided an assassination attempt.
Okojie was reportedly assaulted by armed thugs suspected of having political objectives, as the state prepares for its election on Saturday, September 21.
The perpetrators reportedly stormed his home in a Lexus GX 470 with Rivers State plates early Friday morning.
According to his media aide, Michael Ihaza, who broke the news to reporters, the merciless assailants appeared ready to carry out their murderous objective, but quick-thinking security professionals assigned to Okojie responded quickly, foiling the assassination plot just in time.
Prince Okojie’s media aide’s statement reads: “The armed thugs who disguised as police officers along with two others, invaded the residence of Hon. Okojie, claimed to be on appointment and proceeded to the seating room.
“Following the intervention of the security personnel attached to the lawmaker, two of the armed thugs fled leaving behind the driver and another who are currently being interrogated by officers from the Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force, Uromi.
“The suspects have so far made a confessional statement stating that they were sent on the mission by People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders in Esan North East Local Government Area,”
Photos capturing the chaotic scene of the assassination attempt have also surfaced, quickly trending online.
The images show a crowded spectacle, with the tension and panic etched on the faces of those present, further highlighting the gravity of the attack.
