Prior to his inauguration, Bola Tinubu, the president-elect has arrived at Eagles Square in Abuja.
Along with his wife Remi, Tinubu traveled to Eagles Square with SGF Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Kashim Shettima, the vice president-elect, and his wife are also at the Square.
Following the return to civilian rule in 1999, Tinubu's inauguration as Nigeria's 16th president marks the 7th consecutive democratic transfer of power in the country's 24 years of unbroken democracy.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in as the nation's 16th president today in front of more than 20 presidents from around the world, including those from Africa.
