Aminu Bello Masari, the governor of Katsina State, expressed hope that Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s recently elected president, would lead the country to prosperity beyond all reasonable doubt.
“Tinubu is competent and capable of leading the country to the promised land,” said Masari, who made this announcement soon after INEC named Tinubu the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
The former Lagos governor would oversee Nigeria’s required socioeconomic growth, according to the Katsina governor.
“The man (Tinubu) has got the brain and the capacity. He is an effective manager of men and resources. “I have no doubt that he’s going to galvanise the nation and propel it to greater heights, making it a pride not only of Black Africans but of all Blacks all over the world.
Masari remarked, “He did it in Lagos and he will do it for Nigeria.”
Before Tinubu was elected governor, Masari remembered the terrible conditions in Lagos, saying, “Lagos in 1999 was a city invaded by ‘Area Boys,’ almost similar to bandits the bandits operating in the North.
“In Lagos, before Asiwaju joined the team, you could discover dead bodies on garbage piles and roads being destroyed by cars as early as 3 p.m.
“Area Boys” cause cars without air conditioning to wind their windows up, but thanks to his efforts, Lagos is now the safest metropolis in Nigeria.
“And what was the economy of Lagos before he became Governor? The revenue generation was barely N600 million but before he left, it was N6 billion.”
