Manchester United are reportedly lining up Zinedine Zidane and Ruben Amorim as potential replacements for Erik ten Hag, should they decide to sack the Dutchman after a dire start to the season.
Manchester United's Struggles
Manchester United have had a rough start to the season, with just two wins from their opening seven Premier League games.
Concerns about the Red Devils' play and results have led to their current league-worst 14th-place standing.

The club brought in Erik ten Hag in hopes that he would be the answer to their difficulties, but he has been unsuccessful thus far.
Very recently, Newcastle United won 3-1 against Manchester United on Wednesday night at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils' Carabao Cup run has also come to an end.
Zinedine Zidane and Ruben Amorim are allegedly two names being considered as possible replacements by Manchester United, per
Daily Mail.

After managing Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane won three consecutive Champions League titles. With his extensive background and track record of success at the highest level, he is widely considered to be one of the greatest managers in the world and would be a great fit for Manchester United.
Zidane, meanwhile, hasn't coached since leaving Real Madrid for the second time in 2021, having returned in 2019 after an incredibly successful first spell in charge of his former side.
Ruben Amorim

Presently, Sporting Lisbon in Portugal is under the leadership of the youthful and prospective manager Ruben Amorim. He is well-known for his creative strategies and his ability to inspire his team members to perform at their best.
At the age of 38, after coaching stints at Casa Pia and Braga, he is widely considered one of the best young coaches in the world after leading Sporting to their first title in 19 years in the 2020–21 season.
Given his lack of experience at the highest level, he would be a risky selection for Manchester United, but he could be a smart investment in the long run.
Is Erik ten Hag getting sacked?
This is all assumption at this point, and there has been no indication that Ten Hag will be fired.
But the United board is clearly unhappy with the team's present performance, and they are weighing their options for the future if things fail to improve quickly.
Only time will tell who the next manager of Manchester United will be, but one thing is for sure: it is a job that is not for the faint of heart.
