Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of late Afrobeats singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, formerly known as Mohbad, has finally spoken out amid rumors of her carrying a new pregnancy.
The swirling speculation, which began following a heated exchange on media personality Baba Latisneh's TikTok platform claimed that Wunmi is expecting another child less than a year after her husband's terrible death.
Also in what can only be described as a brutal smear campaign, some have even called her allegiance to Mohbad's memory into question.
Accusations of treachery and mistrust immediately spread throughout the internet, with many asking whether she was moving on too quickly. This triggered debates over the actual nature of mourning and how long it is "acceptable" for a widow to be tied by the past.
Despite the whispers and allegations, Wunmi took to her Instagram story to speak on the rumors.
Wunmi claims she stands tall, unapologetic, and defiant, preferring to live by her truth rather than bow to the court of public opinion.
Wunmi declared that she cares far more about how her life feels to her than how it looks to the outside world, making it crystal clear that she has no time to entertain the judgments of those who don’t understand her journey.
She wrote; “I am way more interested in how my life feels to me, than how it looks to others”
