The Lagos State Government has promised to provide full support to Ikorodu City FC as they compete in the Nigeria Premier Football League next season
The Director-General of the state sport commission, Mr. Lekan Fatodu, made this commitment during a meeting with the team.
He also expressed his best wishes for the team as they prepare for the 2024-25 NPFL season.
Ikorodu City earned their spot in the NPFL after finishing in the top four teams at the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight playoff in Enugu.
Alongside Ikorodu City, Beyond Limits, Nasarawa United, and El-Kanemi Warriors also secured promotion to the NPFL.
Beyond Limits emerged as champions of the 2023-24 NNL season after claiming victory in the playoff tournament.
