Four days before the governorship election, the Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, asked the Igbo community to back Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Kalu also urged the Igbo people to back Babagana Zulum of Borno and Uba Sani of the APC for governor of Kaduna.
According to him, Sani, Zulum, and Sanwo-Olu are deserving of the overwhelming support of the Igbos.
If Igbos support APC candidates for governor, the senator claimed, they will have some control over where they live.
Kalu asked Igbos in a Facebook post to support candidates who value character and competency as well as ability and performance.
"The APC candidates in Lagos, Kaduna, Borno, and other places deserve the Igbos' full support," he said. I implore all of our citizens in these states to vote for all of the APC's candidates.
"By supporting the APC, you have the chance to advance, improve, and make a positive impact on the communities in which you live."
