Veteran Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has expressed his displeasure with his party, the Labour Party, and says he is not ruling out ‘’going back to anything".
Recall that Okonkwo resigned from the APC in July 2022 and thereafter defected to the LP where he served as a spokesperson for the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 election.
In a fresh interview, Okonkwo hinted at going back to his former party.
In his words; ‘’I don't rule out going back to anything because change is constant. My own Labour Party is not impressing me. Assuming they continue in this trajectory where they cannot hold acceptable National Convention, then you would tell me I will be there.''
He added that the party lacks the integrity to take advantage of the internal crisis in other parties.
The LP has been embroiled in a leadership crisis since Lamidi Apapa, deputy national chairman of the party (South), declared himself the acting national chairman last year.
