KOGI, Nigeria- The Nigeria Police Force, in conjunction with the British Embassy, has initiated a partnership aimed at improving security and tackling crime in Kogi.
This collaboration commenced on Monday with discussions held between police commissioner Miller Dantawaye and a delegation from the British Embassy.
The delegation led by Andrew Marshall engaged in talks regarding intelligence-driven operations and strategies to combat kidnapping with Mr. Dantawaye.
Marshall underscored the necessity for effective intelligence gathering to monitor criminal activities, labeling crime as a significant barrier to peace and societal advancement.
In response, Dantawaye affirmed the police's dedication to bolstering security measures and recognized the significance of international cooperation.
The police chief promised to enhance efforts, which will include vigorous stop-and-search operations and the sharing of strategic intelligence.
He also urged the British Embassy to share intelligence related to criminal activities to facilitate prompt actions from law enforcement agencies.
He remarked that the meeting represents an important milestone in strengthening security collaborations and enhancing crime prevention strategies in Kogi.
Dantawaye stated, “Working together with international partners is vital due to their superior security capabilities and resources.”
