KOGI- The Kogi State House of Assembly has enacted the N582,404,119.489 2025 Appropriations Bill.
After the House Standing Committee on Appropriation, Budget Monitoring, and Economic Planning adopted its report, the budget was passed.
Speaker Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf stated during the committee of supply's clause-by-clause review that the bill authorized over N281,153,215,687 billion in recurring expenditures and over N301,280,903,802 billion in authorized capital expenditures.
According to the Speaker, the bill, which shows the allocation of funding to each Ministry, Department, and Agency, goes into force on January 1, 2025, and ends December 31, 2025.
Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf praised the parliamentarians for carrying out their core responsibilities by attending to the budget.
On December 3, 2024, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo presented Kogi State's 2025 appropriation bill for approval by the Assembly, totaling N582,404,119.489 billion Naira.
