Kemi Olunloye to Davido: mend broken bonds with mother's relatives

Controversial Media Personality, Kemi Olunloyo has called out Singer and Songwriter, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido for allegedly maintaining a distant, cold relationship with his mother’s family hailing from Edo State.

Recall that Davido expressed his strong interest in the Edo governorship election by stating on X (previously Twitter) that his late mother, Imade Veronica Adeleke, was from Edo State, which ignited his investment in the election outcome.

However, Kemi said that, despite Davido's public pride in his Edo heritage, he has been ignoring his roots for years. 

She also made shocking charges that Davido's father, Deji Adeleke, who is a business mogul played a significant role in their estrangement.

According to Kemi, Deji purposefully kept little Davido away from his mother's relatives following her untimely death, even when he was only nine years old.

She attributed cracks in Deji and Veronica's marriage before her unexpected death, noting that, these unresolved difficulties could have contributed to the strained family dynamics.

Kemi bluntly challenged Davido to stop exploiting his mother's name for political benefit and instead take genuine action by reuniting with her relatives in Edo. 

According to her, it's time for Davido to mend the broken bonds and rebuild the relationships he's long neglected.
