In order to prevent a breakdown in law and order as a result of tensions brought on by the collation of the results of the governorship and state Assembly elections, the government of Kano State has imposed a dawn-to-dusk curfew.
The announcement was announced in a statement released on Monday morning by Malam Muhammad Garba, the state commissioner for information and internal affairs.
He claimed that the choice was made to stop criminals from destabilizing the already sensitive situation.
The state's commissioner urged the populace to stay indoors since troublemakers would not be spared by security personnel.
