RIVERS, Nigeria - Inspite of the criticism against President Bola Tinubu by many political commentators and legal practitioners over the emergency rule declared in Rivers State, the Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared readiness to ensure the measure put in place by the President to restore peace and harmony to the state achieve desired results.
Fubara, meanwhile, has urged the residents not to kick against the emergency rule and go against the new administrator, Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas (retd), during the six months of the six months period when the exercise would end in the state.
He disclosed this on Wednesday stance through a statement he officially released after the President suspended him and other elected public officeholders in the state following the degeneration of political imbroglio between the legislative led by Martin Amaewhule and the governor in the state.
