The election campaign of Dr. Alex Otti, the Labour Party's candidate for governor of Abia, who ran on the party's platform, was not declared invalid by a Federal High Court.
The Kano LP candidates who ran in the general election of 2023, however, were declared elected by the court to be invalid.

According to Nasir-Yunusa, the court merely ruled that the Labour Party's primary election in Kano State was invalid.
"This court does not have the authority to mandate the issuing of a certificate of return.
"They are free to seek justice in the proper judicial division," he added. Despite the conflicting responses to the ruling, Justice Nasir-Yunusa ruled that the Abia candidates who ran in the recently held general elections were not parties to the lawsuit.
