Nigerian Singer Joseph Akinfenwaa Donus, aka Joeboy

Popular singer Joseph Akinfenwaa Donus, known as Joeboy has criticized the federal government for prioritizing changing the national anthem above addressing the country's various difficulties.

According to Rocket Parrot, President Bola Tinubu signed the National Hymn Bill 2024 into law on Wednesday, reinstating the old hymn "Nigeria, We Hail Thee."

Reacting, Joeboy questioned why changing the National Anthem was prioritized over important national issues.

On his X handle, he wrote: “Of all the problems Nigerians have to deal with, changing the national anthem is priority? Okay naw.”
