The Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has suspended the Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwalu Sankara, over adultery allegations made against him by the Kano State Hisbah.
After the suspension, the governor has setup a five-man probe committee, to investigate the adultery allegations made against the commissioner by the Kano State agency.
The governor’s directive was made public on Saturday through a statement released and made available to newsmen by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Bala Ibrahim.
He described reports on the commissioner as embarrassing and degradation to the state government’s reputation.
The governor noted that, to give all parties fear hearings, a committee to investigate the reality of the allegations has been setup and they will deliver reports in two weeks.
Namadi disclosed that the committee would be chaired the Secretary to the State Government, Bala Ibrahim.
Other members of the Committee were: Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, Sagir Musa Ahmed; Commissioner for Basic Education, Lawal Yunusa; Special Adviser Security Matters, Usman Jahun, and Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Adamu Muhammmad Garin Gabas will serve as Secretary.
