At least two individuals have been reported dead following a sequence of Iranian missile attacks on Israel, indicating a significant escalation in the hostilities between the two countries.
The Jerusalem Post indicates that an Israeli woman died from her injuries on Saturday after being hit during one of the strikes, while another casualty was reported during the fourth wave of attacks.
Reports mention that Iran launched four waves of ballistic missile strikes from late Friday into early Saturday, hitting various targets across Israel.
Additionally, several residential properties in Tel Aviv were severely damaged, leading to widespread emergency response efforts as rescuers searched for survivors among the debris.
"We are currently treating and evacuating 21 individuals as a result of the rocket strikes in the coastal plain," stated Israel’s national emergency medical services (EMS). Images shared online depicted homes that were entirely destroyed, along with others that suffered significant damage due to the missile impacts.
These strikes are believed to be a response to a series of Israeli airstrikes carried out earlier in the week on Iranian soil, further exacerbating the ongoing conflict in the region.
The Israeli military has not yet issued a comprehensive statement, but sources indicate increased military preparedness and ongoing evaluations of the damage caused.
