The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has reported that it has effectively delivered a total minimum of 620 hours of electricity supply to Band A customers within its coverage area over the last two months.
Acting Managing Director, Francis Agoha, stated in a press statement on Thursday that the accomplishment was verified during a performance assessment period overseen by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission.
The statement stated, "IBEDC is delighted to announce that we have successfully provided a cumulative minimum of 620 hours of electricity supply to our Band A customers over the past two months.
"This achievement was confirmed during a performance evaluation period monitored by the Regulator.
"In April, IBEDC initially upgraded 30 Band A feeders and later received approval to upgrade an additional 30 feeders, followed by another 30 in May, and subsequently 15 more feeders, bringing the total to 83. These feeders consist of 34 11kV and 49 33kV categories.
"IBEDC is committed to meeting the service delivery expectations of customers across various tariff bands and will continue to upgrade its network within coverage areas to ensure consistent and reliable electricity supply.
"The company is dedicated to service excellence and continuous improvement, aimed at providing reliable and efficient electricity to valued customers, with the support of both customers and the regulator."
