I Wear Napoli Badge With Pride - Osimhen

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has expressed his desire to continue playing for Italian Serie A champions Napoli despite a ridicule he suffered at the hands of the club recently. The club had shared a video on TikTok mocking Osimhen for losing a penalty kick. The video sparked international controversy as many read it to mean that he was not appreciated despite guiding the club to its first Scudetto in decades. Napoli has, however, apologized to the striker, adding that they never intended to make a mockery of him. Issuing an official statement since the incident, Osimhen stated that he won't allow anyone to come between him and the people of Naples where the club is based. He said, “Coming to the City of Naples in 2020 was a wonderful decision for me. The People of Napoli have shown me so much love and kindness, and I will not allow anyone to come between us”. “The passion of the People of Naples fuels my fire to always play with my heart and soul, and the love for the badge is unwavering as I wear it with pride”. “The accusations against People of Naples are untrue. I have a lot of friends that are Napolitans and have become part of my family and everyday life.
