A well-known Nollywood actress, Jumoke George, has publicly requested assistance, disclosing her ongoing personal and health challenges that have rendered her homeless and ill.
In an emotional recount during an interview on a talk show led by fellow actress Abiola Adebayo, George shared her distressing situation of living in a church, struggling with health issues, and searching for her missing child.
In a video snippet posted by Biola on Instagram on Tuesday, Jumoke expressed, “I urge mothers all over the world to pray for me. I have never harmed anyone. I am exhausted and cannot continue like this. I lack a home, have nothing, and my child is missing. My health is failing, and I am worn out. I live in the church, often relying on the church mummy for food."
The actress revealed that her first child, Adeola, has been missing for four years.
She mentioned that she has been solely responsible for her grandchildren despite her deteriorating health and tough living conditions.
Jumoke shared, “As a Christian, I have strived. My eldest child, Adeola, has been gone for four years and just turned 41 on May 1. I am the one caring for the children. I have been unwell since January 2 and have done my utmost to cope as a human. I am uncertain of how to fund brain and heart tests that cost N400,000. I have no idea where that money will come from. I can’t sleep because I’m constantly in pain. I feel like there’s everything wrong with me. I don’t know what to do, and I have placed that child in profound debt.”
The actress, recognized for her performances in Nollywood, particularly in Yoruba films, has generated a wave of sympathy and concern from fans on social media following her heartfelt plea.
