Mrs. Faliat Olaonipekun, mother of the late Nigerian Rapper Oladapo Olaitan Olanipekun, also known as DaGrin

The mother of the late Oladapo Olaitan Olanipekun, also known as DaGrin, a rap prodigy and Nigerian music sensation, Mrs. Falilat Olaonipekun, recently expressed her displeasure over the management team's unfair withholding of her son's hard-earned royalties.

Recently, music promoter Kogbagidi and media personality Baba Egbe arranged a meeting with Dagrin's mother and her allies to discuss the complicated matter of her late son's royalties and general welfare.

When asked if there had been any news about Dagrin's royalties or if she had gotten any, she reacted negatively, saying that she had not received the music royalties from her late son.

Speaking more about the situation, she related her recent talk with his management, during which she learned that they are waiting for payment from a revenue source and won't be sending the money until the transaction is finished.

In the video, Dagrin's mother displays the documents that the management team gave her, holding them high as a physical reminder of the commitment that has been made but not yet kept. It contained an explicit pledge to pay out a certain sum that has not yet been paid out.

She repeated the promises received and stated that she was looking forward to the management's promised answer.

She recounted that her last interaction with them dated back to December 2023, lamenting the silence that had since ensued.

Baba Egbe assured her of his commitment to the cause, pledging to enlist the services of a seasoned music lawyer to champion her case against the management team.
