Gpt-4: Openai Announces Succesor To Ai Chatbot, Chatgpt

POSTED ON March 14, 2023 •   Uncategorized      BY Akinbohun Samuel

OpenAI has recently released GPT-4, the newest version of its popular AI chatbot, ChatGPT. The new model has several exciting features, such as the ability to respond to images, write captions and descriptions, and process up to 25,000 words. Millions of people have used ChatGPT since its launch in November 2022, with many requests for tasks such as writing songs, poems, marketing copy, and computer code, although teachers discourage its use for homework help.

Like its predecessors, GPT-4 is a generative AI system that uses algorithms and predictive text to create new content based on prompts. However, GPT-4 is much more powerful and versatile, with the ability to process much larger amounts of data and respond to images. This opens up new possibilities for using AI in areas such as content creation, marketing, and customer service.

One of the key concerns with AI technology is the potential for it to replace human jobs. OpenAI has spent six months on safety features for GPT-4 and trained it on human feedback to address this issue. However, there are still concerns about the potential for AI to spread disinformation, and it's essential to be mindful of these risks as AI technology continues to evolve.

GPT-4 is initially available only to ChatGPT Plus subscribers, who pay $20 per month for premium access to the service. It's already powering Microsoft's Bing search engine platform, highlighting the potential for AI technology to transform the way we search for information online. In a live demo, GPT-4 was able to generate an answer to a complicated tax query, although there was no way to verify its accuracy.

OpenAI's latest AI chatbot, GPT-4, has been announced to have "more advanced reasoning skills" than its predecessor, ChatGPT. One of its new abilities is the capability to find available meeting times for three schedules, showcasing its enhanced reasoning capabilities.

In addition, OpenAI has partnered with Duolingo and Be My Eyes to develop AI chatbots that can assist their users with natural language. These collaborations will allow AI technology to help people with language learning and vision impairments, demonstrating the potential for AI to improve accessibility and enhance human capabilities.

As GPT-4 continues to evolve and develop new features, it's likely that AI technology will continue to play an increasingly important role in our lives, transforming the way we interact with technology and the world around us. However, it's important to remain mindful of the potential risks and limitations of AI and to approach this technology with caution and consideration. By carefully balancing the benefits and risks of AI, we can harness its potential to create a better future for all.
