Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has urged the people of the State to vote for candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the upcoming elections. According to the Governor, doing so will help sustain the development ongoing across the 21 local government areas of the state. The Governor's appeal comes in the wake of APGA's failure to clinch any of the three senatorial seats in the state during last Saturday's election. While the party only won four out of the 11 federal constituencies, the Labour Party clinched majority of the seats.
Soludo has called on the people of Anambra to support his administration's development strides by voting massively for APGA candidates in the election. The Governor believes that if the ruling party is in control of the state assembly, they will be able to continue their work unhindered. However, if the opposition is allowed to have its way, development in the state could be stalled.
The Governor has assured the people of Anambra that if they heed his appeal and vote for the party's candidates, the state will emerge as the most secure, business-friendly, livable and prosperous state in Nigeria before the end of his first term in office.
