OSUN, Nigeria —The Osun State Government has approved N75,000 as the new minimum wage for the State civil servants.
The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. Kolapo Alimi, disclosed this in a statement, noting that the Governor Ademola Adeleke acted on the Public Service Negotiation Committee’s report.
Alimi, explained that the government team was led by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Kazeem Akinleye, while the labour team was led by the Osun NLC Chairman, Christopher Arapasopo to ensure the approval of the wage is achieved.
“The new minimum wage of N75,000 was adopted and approved by the governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, for civil servants in the state.
“The Governor Ademola Adeleke-led administration is deeply committed to prioritising the welfare of civil servants, who tirelessly provide efficient, effective and quality services to the state despite the limited resources accruing to it,” the commissioner said.
He urged civil servants in the state to improve their service delivery by endlessly seeking innovative solutions to improve public service in ensuring transparency and accountability for the growth and development of the State.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Akinleye, extolled the governor for the approval of the N75,000 new minimum wage.
