Google Contacts is receiving a significant makeover, streamlining the process of adding or editing contacts for users.
The revamped design, available in the latest version of the app (4.30.50.628193927), offers a more intuitive experience, enhancing efficiency and user convenience.
Although Google has yet to officially release the updated version through the Play Store, Android Authority contributor and tipster Assemble Debug discovered the redesign and shared insights after sideloading it from APKMirror.
The redesigned interface of Google Contacts presents a cleaner layout, simplifying the task of creating or modifying contacts. Instead of navigating through an extensive list of fields, the "Create Contact" page now prominently displays four essential fields at the top.
Below these primary fields, users find convenient buttons to include additional but optional details, such as email addresses, birthdays, addresses, and labels.
Noteworthy enhancements include a heightened emphasis on the "Notes" field, encouraging users to provide supplementary information about each contact.
Additionally, a new "Favorite" button positioned at the top facilitates swift categorization of contacts during the creation process.
Furthermore, the functionality of the "Add field" button has been refined. Instead of overwhelming users with multiple input fields, it now opens a dialogue box for adding specific details, enhancing user control and experience.
For users eagerly awaiting access to the redesigned interface, patience is required as Google prepares to roll out the update officially.
