The general overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, shared inspiring words with the graduating senior students of Redeemer's University during the 15th convocation ceremony in Ede, Osun state.
Adeboye encouraged the graduating students to give their "first fruit" to God. The "first fruit" is a symbolic offering representing the first and best portion of one's income or harvest, given as an act of faith and obedience.

Giving this first portion to God is believed to result in blessings and prosperity. He also stressed the importance of tithing and offering.
Pastor Adeboye cautioned the graduates not to get distracted by worldly attractions as they move forward in their lives,
Pulse reports.
He urged them to maintain a strong foundation of faith and to prioritise their relationship with God.
The cleric encouraged the students to live godly lives and to be lovers of God's word.
Pastor Adeboye reminded the graduates that prayer is powerful and that all things respond to prayer when done correctly. This reflects the belief in the importance of prayer in seeking guidance, protection, and blessings from God.
He encouraged the students to remember their Alma Mater (the university) as they move forward in life.
He said: “To the graduating students, I congratulate you very warmly.
"As you exit from the university, don’t allow the world and its lust to distract you to take the fear of God in you out; practice godliness. Be a lover of God and his word, and remember that all things answer to prayer if rightly done.
“God is the rewarder; give to him your first fruit, tithe and offering; nothing can stop your prosperity.
“Always remember your Alma Mata as you go. God, who is the owner of Redeemer University, will bless you”.
