Buffon began his career in Parma's youth system in 1991 aged 13, initially playing in midfield before moving to the role of goalkeeper due to his height and physical attributes.
He made his professional debut for Parma in 1995 and played for the club until 2001, when he joined Juventus. Buffon played for Juventus for 17 seasons, except for a season at PSG in 2018-19, before returning to Turin and then to Parma in June 2021.
Buffon won numerous titles during his career, including 10 Serie A titles, a Ligue 1 title, and the 2006 World Cup with Italy. He was also named the UEFA Best Goalkeeper three times and was voted the "Greatest Goalkeeper Ever" by Eurosport.
