Fred Completes Move To Fenerbahçe In €15M Deal

In a surprising turn of events, Fred's departure from Manchester United has been confirmed, with the Brazilian midfielder set to join Turkish side, Fenerbahçe. The medical has been booked and the deal has been sealed, marking the end of Fred's tenure at Old Trafford. Credit: Google[/caption] Fenerbahçe made an official bid to sign Fred from Manchester United worth €15m, with Fenerbahçe also agreeing to pay €2m in add-ons. Fred's contract at Old Trafford is scheduled to expire next summer. The former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder is a well-liked member of the United squad, but he has rarely appeared to live up to the potential that led the Red Devils to pay £47 million to acquire him from the Ukrainian team in 2018.

Farewell Fred: Manchester United Midfielder Set for New Adventure

Fred has been with Manchester United since 2018, although he has yet to establish himself as a first-team starter. He played 36 times in the Premier League last year, although he only managed four goals. His performances, however, were frequently panned by critics. Brazilian footballer Frederico Rodrigues de Paula Santos, widely referred to as Fred, is a 30-year-old midfielder for Manchester United. Born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Fred began his career at América Mineiro before moving to Internacional in 2013. Before moving to Manchester United in 2018, he played 155 games for Shakhtar Donetsk.

Fred: A New Start at Fenerbahçe

The Turkish club Fenerbahçe is banking on Fred to assist solidify their midfield. Last season, the Turkish team finished second in the Süper Lig, but they were 19 points behind the league champion, Trabzonspor. Many are surprised by Fred's departure from Manchester United for Fenerbahçe, as the Brazilian midfielder showed promise in his time with the Red Devils. Fred, however, has chosen to start over and get a chance to show off his skills in a new setting because of the fierce rivalry for squad positions.

Rasmus Højlund Inherits the Number 17 Jersey: Manchester United's New Hope

In other news, Rasmus Højlund has been officially named Manchester United's new number 17 player. The 20-year-old Danish striker signed a deal that will last through June 2028, with an additional year available pending visa approval. Hjlund has scored 27 goals in 87 games for his club, including 10 goals in Italy for Atalanta last year. Højlund has already made his mark on the international stage, scoring six goals in as many games for Denmark's senior national team. Højlund certainly has high hopes for his future at Manchester United. Højlund could be the savior the Red Devils have been waiting for in the form of a new striker.
