Former member of One Direction, Liam Payne has passed away following a fall from an Argentine hotel balcony.
According to authorities, the 31-year-old musician fell from the third floor of the hotel in the city, Buenos Aires, and sustained "extremely serious injuries."
In the Palermo neighborhood of the city, Payne fell into a courtyard of the CasaSur Hotel, according to Alberto Crescenti, chief of the state emergency medical system, who made the announcement on Argentine television.
When questioned about how he fell from the balcony, the official refused to answer.
Authorities were conducting a post-mortem and looking into the circumstances surrounding his death, according to Mr. Crescenti.
Meanwhile, a transcript of the hotel desk manager's 911 call following the fall has been released.
The hotel manager is heard claiming he has a "guest drunk with drugs and alcohol" and that "he is breaking everything in the room."
He later informs the operator that they "need to send someone with urgency because I don't know if the guest's life is in danger because he is in a room with a balcony".

The 911 operator reports that police and emergency medical personnel have been dispatched to the scene.
Argentinian media reported that Payne was in Buenos Aires to attend the concert of his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan earlier this month.
