Highlife singer, Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour N'abania, has recounted his early career in the music industry.
The singer told his story in an interview with the UK's 'In My Opinion programme'.
Flavour spoke about how he began by singing for a small crowd in the East and captivated them with his music.
He reasoned that he needed to broaden his audience, and knowing that he had everything he needed within himself, he swiftly boarded a night bus to Lagos.
The next thing he did; he produced his debut song and phoned Nigerian rapper Mr Raw, begging him for a feature on his new singles.
He said the rapper agreed and after he added his tune to the song, took the CD and traveled back to Enugu.
He said, "I noticed that people fell in love with the song. I printed several copies of the CDs and sold it to everyone I could find."
Flavour also revealed that he learnt a lot about becoming a music artiste from Mr Raw.
