The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of First Bank Nigeria Plc, Olusegun Alebiosu, has indicated an interest in collaborating with the Lagos State government in the area of infrastructure development.
Alebiosu made this known during a visit to the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, along with the management team.
During the visit, Alebiosu emphasized the importance of power infrastructure in Lagos State and expressed the bank's readiness to work with the government and private investors to implement significant power projects aimed at reducing production costs.
He also pledged First Bank's continuous support for special projects initiated by the Lagos State Government, with the goal of creating more employment opportunities and generating tax revenue.
In response, Governor Sanwo-Olu affirmed his administration's commitment to maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with financial institutions, particularly First Bank, to address the needs of Lagos residents.
He acknowledged the valuable partnership between the state government and First Bank, emphasizing the bank's significant contribution to economic growth and pledging to uphold and strengthen this relationship.
First Bank of Nigeria recently confirmed the appointment of Alebiosu as its substantive Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
