The Federal High Court (FHC) will begin its yearly vacation in 2023 on July 24, according to Justice John Tsoho, the court's chief judge.
In an interview with Dr. Catherine Oby-Christopher, the FHC's Assistant Director of Information, on Friday, Justice Tsoho made this claim.
The CJ announced that the break will start on Monday, July 24, and finish on Friday, September 15.
The Honourable Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, announces it's 2023 Annual Vacation and Roster for Vacation Judges in accordance with Order 46, Rule 4(d) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019.
"The vacation will start on July 24 and last through September 15."
On September 18, the court will reconvene. This will allow the honorable judges to take a well-earned break and get ready for the demands of the upcoming legal year," it stated.
The statement claims that as a result, anyone who wishes to file a lawsuit may do so ONLY in the below-listed functional courts in Abuja, Lagos, and Port-Harcourt which are the closest to them.
The judges who would be going on vacation are Hon. Justice A. R. Mohammed and Hon. Justice O.A. Egwuatu for the Abuja division; Hon. Justice I. N. Oweibo and Hon. Justice A. Aluko for the Lagos division; and Hon. Justice A. T. Mohammed and Hon. Justice S. I. Mark for the Port-Harcourt division.
It continued, "The Honourable Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, wishes his fellow lordships a wonderful Vacation in advance."
