Tickets for the 2026 World Cup qualifying game between Nigeria and South Africa on Friday will go on sale from Thursday, it has been learnt.
The game is billed to kick off at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, from 8pm.
The prices for the tickets are N1,000 and N3,000 for the popular stands and the VIP areas respectively.
According to a statement from the Communications Department of the Nigerian Football Federation, the federation tickets for the game will be on sale at three radio stations in Uyo as well as a number of fuel stations and eateries.
"The objective is to have as many sales points as possible away from the stadium, and ensure that sales are concluded by Friday evening before the game commences," a statement from the NFF read.
The NFF also said: "The tickets will go on sale at a number of designated points including Comfort FM Radio Station (Ikot Akpanabia), Inspiration FM Radio Station (Udo Udoma Street), Memories FM Radio Station (Ernest Bassey Street), De-Choice Shopping Mall, as well as a number of fuel stations and eateries that will be announced later in the day."
Nigeria are currently third in Group C with two points from two matches, trailing behind leaders Rwanda by two points and South Africa by one.
The group winner after 10 matches will qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
