Explosion hits Rivers APC secretariat as LG poll holds

An explosion suspected to be dynamite shattered the secreteriat of the All Progressive Congress, along Aba Road in Port Harcourt, River State Capital.

Rocketparrot News gathered that buildings and other properties were destroyed by the impact of the explosion which pull down gates, destroying doors, windows and other properties at the Secretariat.

This is coming as the  local government elections is scheduled to hold today amid several controversial moves by party chieftains.

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission said on Friday that all sensitive materials have been distributed to the various local government areas.

A viral video of the incident scene showed some workers at the facilities going round to ascertain the extent of damage.

Rivers state police command spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, said she had yet to get a report of the development as at the time of filing this report.

Also, the party concern had yet to issue official statements as regards the development.
