The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Banku Obi, on Thursday, called on members of the Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star to extend its scholarship programmes to many more UNICAL students.

She spoke when the group, led by the International President, Hon Ekuma Ngwu, visited her to mark the 45th-anniversary celebration of the association with the theme, 'Behavioural Change'.

Professor Obi, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Eno Nta, applauded the association on its advocacy approach to behavioural change.

She congratulated the group on its 45th-anniversary celebration and urged it to consolidate its peace advocacy.

Earlier, the International President of the association, Ngwu, appreciated the  academic don for the privilege of interacting with the students' group.

He said, “It is my pleasure to inform you that the highpoint of the 45th Anniversary is a mega campus conference on behavioural change, billed to be held at the University of Calabar. The event will be well attended by scholars, academic dons, religious scholars and students of various institutions from all over the world.”

He assured the university that his group would persist in giving out more scholarships to undergraduates and impact positive behavioural changes in students.
