As anger grows over the compilation of the governorship election results, supporters of the two most influential political parties in Enugu State have invaded the INEC headquarters in Enugu.
Supporters of the Labour Party were the first to occupy the commission's headquarters and demand that the Nkanu East Local Government Area's results not be allowed due to an alleged lack of BVAS usage.
The LP insists that Barr. Chijioke Edeoga, its candidate, won the election.
They claimed that Peter Mbah of the PDP did not receive the nearly 30,000 votes he received from the votes cast at the various polling places.
Just about 15,000 ballots were cast in the election, according to the LP.
Shortly thereafter, PDP supporters gathered at the INEC office and demanded that Mbah be proclaimed the winner.
The PDP supporters suggested that Mbah be made public and that the parties who felt wronged should file a lawsuit.
Security personnel have stopped both groups from entering the INEC office.
