In the states of Abia and Enugu, the Independent National Electoral Commission has halted compiling election results.
Following the invasion of its office in Obingwa by armed men who held its officials, hostage, INEC suspended the collation of the governorship election results in Abia state.
The compilation of election results in Enugu State was also put on hold by the electoral umpire in response to requests for the results of two outstanding local government areas, Nkanu East and Nsukka.
After the results have been examined, the election will be over.
