Nigerian businessman, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu better known as Cubana Chief Priest and the Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC would be settling out of the case over allegations of Naira abuse after a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos State for the continuation of his naira abuse trial.
On April 16, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed a three-count charge against him over alleged naira abuse.
Recall that in April the Chief Priest was arraigned by the EFCC over the charge of Naira mutilation amongst others. Pascal arrived before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court, Lagos, and pleaded not guilty to the charges of naira abuse. The celebrity barman was granted N10 million bail.
In an update to his case, the businessman and the commission would settle out of court. According to reports, the court would hear the settlement report on the 5th of June, 2024.
The judge ruled that the bail conditions must be perfected within seven days.
Cubana was released to his lawyer who must give an undertaken to produce him later. He will be remanded in a correctional facility if his lawyer fails to do so.
