Daniel Dubois has successfully defended his IBF world heavyweight title by knocking out Anthony Joshua in the fifth round of their highly anticipated all-British bout at Wembley on Saturday.
The 27-year-old boxer controlled the early stages of the fight, knocking down the two-time former unified heavyweight champion multiple times.
In a dramatic fifth round, Dubois was briefly stunned by two right-hand punches, and just as Joshua appeared to be increasing the pressure, the 34-year-old was caught by consecutive right-hand blows and went down again, this time unable to beat the count.
"Are you not entertained?" Dubois exclaimed to thunderous applause at Wembley.
"I am a gladiator. I am a warrior until the very end. I aim to reach the pinnacle of this sport and fulfill my potential."
Ukraine's Oleksandr Usyk became the first undisputed heavyweight champion in boxing, holding all four major titles (IBF, WBO, WBC, WBA) in May after defeating Tyson Fury.
Usyk agreed to a rematch with Fury instead of facing mandatory IBF challenger Dubois.
Dubois won the interim IBF title in June and was subsequently elevated to world champion status when Usyk vacated the belt.
