Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Aloy Ejimakor, has alleged that the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) seized a legal document belonging to Kanu.
Kanu’s lawyer made this known in a post he made on X announcing his visit to the IPOB leader.
“I just exited from today’s visitation with Onyendu #MNK. I took a critical legal document to him to preview it, but, as usual, the DSS seized the document and never brought it back until I left,” Ejimakor wrote.
“MNK will NEVER BE TRIED under violations like this. It’s not a court-martial. #FairHearing,” he added.
The IPOB's lawyer vowed that Kanu would not be tried under violations of that kind, adding that, “it is not a court-martial.”
Rocketparrot News reported the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja as at last week dismissed the fresh application that Kanu filed to be granted released on bail.
Justice Binta Nyako ordered an accelerated hearing of FG’s seven-count charge against him instead of granting him a bail.
Justice Nyako adjourned the trial to April 17.
