The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the people of Edo State to disregard "fake results" of Saturday's governorship election that are being circulated.
The APC spokesman, Felix Morka, has urged the Edo electorate and the general public to disregard the "bogus and highly speculative reports" regarding the election results.
The party clarified that the collation at the ward level was still ongoing and had not been concluded, and the local government level collation had yet to begin in most of the LGAs in the state.
The party emphasised that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is the sole authorised body empowered to collate results at the ward, local government, and state levels, and to officially declare the election results.
The party has urged the public to disregard the "attempted misrepresentation" and await INEC's final verdict on the election.
Meanwhile, INEC has cautioned social media users against announcing "results" of the poll, stating that they did not reflect the commission's position.
