Detained Binance Executive Escapes Custody

The detained Binance executives, Nadeem Anjarwalla, vanished from custody. 

According to Premium Times, the 38-year-old Briton, who also holds Kenyan citizenship, managed to slip away during a Ramadan prayer break.

Anjarwalla and his colleague were being held in an Abuja guest house on suspicion of tax evasion and other offenses.

Guards, adhering to the spirit of Ramadan, reportedly allowed Anjarwalla to visit a nearby mosque for prayers.

However, during this brief window, he managed to disappear.

Authorities believe Anjarwalla fled Nigeria on a commercial airline bound for the Middle East, likely using a Kenyan passport.

This detail has sparked an investigation, as Anjarwalla was not documented as possessing a Kenyan passport upon his initial detention. Immigration officials are now working to determine how he obtained this travel document.

This audacious escape adds another layer of intrigue to the ongoing case against the Binance executives.

The Nigerian government is likely to face increased pressure to explain the circumstances surrounding the escape and apprehend the missing suspect.
