Defamation of Davido: Dammy Krane Regains Freedom From Police Custody

Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has finally been released from police custody after being detained for allegedly defaming his colleague, Davido.

Recall that Dammy Krane had called the singer a murderer for allegedly having a hand in Tagbo’s death.

However, following his statement, Davido’s lawyer gave him 24 hours to retract all offensive publications against OBO on his social media handles. 

He was also asked to refrain from further publication of defamatory statements against Davido on any platform or risk facing legal actions.

Davido dropped all charges and allowed for his release after VeryDarkMan appealed to him after visiting the estranged singer 'Dammy Krane in police custody.

In a clip making rounds on social media, the singer appreciated VeryDarkMan and tendered an unreserved apology to Davido.

He said: “I want to say a big thank you to my brother, Very Dark Man. I know you all weren’t expecting it. I know many words ought not to be said, I apologize for this Tagbo-death allegation and all that. 

"Make una still remember Davido is still my brother, and we are going to find a major ground to resolve everything.”
